I have talked about the Hummus club pop up in the CBD before so you can imagine how my heart skipped a little beat when they finally opened up a restaurant in Northbridge. Located on William Street it is in the heart of everything happening in the area and I love the space. There is a huge deck with lots of tables out in the open to enjoy the fresh air and the staff are super friendly.

Everything is designed to share so after looking at the menu we selected the original hummus and four side dishes.

Let me start by saying everything we ate was amazing! They still have the creamiest hummus I have ever eaten. The falafel is as good as I remember, best eaten when they first arrive at the table while they are really fresh.

After seeing so many delicious looking photos of the food at the Modern Eatery I couldn't help myself and organised a lunch straight away. The warm weather is perfect for Japanese food and I always seem to crave seafood or sushi at this time of the year.

I was greeted by the friendliest staff, even the chefs working hard in the kitchen said hello as I walked in. The decor is quite simple and it is a small establishment but perfect for a catch up.

Hi my friends! It has been a while since my last blog post but I promise I have plenty of good reasons. Firstly, I have been overseas three times in the last four months, as well as a trip to Melbourne for work so as you can imagine it has been a really busy time for me.

One of those trips was 3 weeks in Greece for our honeymoon which was incredible, I will share some photos with you soon.

Weekends are made for catching up with friends over good food and coffee, made even better when you discover some of Perth's best kept breakfast spots.

Mount Lawley is one of the food hubs I regularly visit, and until recently Fez cafe was one of the few cafes in the area I hadn’t eaten. It is a cute space which has a bohemian vibe to it and offers seating both inside and outside. During these colder winter months the cafe has warm blankets you can throw over yourself to keep from the cold.

I have to tell you about the cutest cafe I discovered while going for a run in my neighborhood - it is decked out with furniture from the 50's and they play Elvis while you eat your breakfast. Not only that but they sell collectible items such as old cookbooks and crockery.

Needless to say I was looking forward to checking it out, especially since it is walking distance from my home! What better way to spend a Saturday morning.

Everyone loves a good cupcake, am I right?

One of the cutest pastry shops in Perth is the Sherbet Bake shop in Maylands. It's a small space with a few tables that serve both breakfast and lunch, but what you really want to go for are the baked goods. They have so many delicious treats to choose from - some of my favourites include the custard and apple and the banana caramel.

These pictures speak for themselves.

Calling all American burger lovers!

It's hard not to love a good burger. Sometimes you just need something as simple as beef, cheese, mustard and pickle to satisfy your cravings. Brooklyn Lounge does just that for $18 including fries.

If you are in the mood to mix it up they do have different toppings for an additional $3. Such as the Mexican: with jalapenos and ghost sauce (don't worry, its not too hot).

It's no secret that Italian is one of my all time favorite cuisines, it's warm and if you go to the right place its made with love. There is something really special about the way Italians always make you feel like you are part of their family. how could you not enjoy that? Needless to say when I received a very kind invitation from David to taste the new menu I was really excited.

I have been one happy lady since I started working in the CBD again - lunch times are that much more exciting because there are endless places to eat. Lalla Rookh happens to be at the base of my building so it's the perfect place to catch up with friends for lunch - and what better excuse is there.

I am the worlds biggest sucker for a good pasta and a vino - in fact I encourage carb loading on a Friday after eating so healthy (or trying to) during the week.

I've said it before and I'll say it again.. I love breakfast! I mean, is there really any better way to kick off the weekend than with good friends and great food. I think not.

Always on the hunt to try something new we decided to give Pearth a try - an organic kitchen in West Leederville which seems to have gained popularity very quickly. It is a fairly small space with only a few tables, but a lot of the patrons were passing through for their takeaway coffee.
